Roofing Scaffold
The need was for a suitable and safe scaffold made of welded steel 4'W x 8'L x 6'H with 3/4 plywood top made to support the weight of three people doing roofing on a steep part of roof.
It was easier nailing roofing material as high as 5'up from bottom edge of our "Barn" roof. Once the roof was finished, the scaffold legs were shortened to be used inside for drywalling (see photo at right).
Scaffold Table
The legs on this welded steel platform were cut down to 4' height to be used as scaffold inside for installing drywall on a vaulted ceiling. Once drywall is finished, we will shorten the legs to 35" (under 3') to table height so it can be used as a fabric cutting table for our costume design studio. The plywood will be removed and replaced with a sheet of 4' x 8' melimine for a cleaner working surface (final photo coming soon).
Another View Of Scaffold: A safer alternative to moving ladders. John put an inch and a half hole at each end of table top to put in the drywall support poles where we didn't have to hold them then we could crank the handle and hoist the 4' x 12' sheets of drywall right up to the ceiling and once locked in, held it, handsfree to ceiling.
